This is a simple shura kitata. It is a classic Japanese dish that is perfect for summer and a quick, easy dinner to throw on the table, in the oven, or in the microwave to heat up.

The shura kitata is similar to a stir fry, but it is done much quicker and doesn’t require a lot of ingredients. It’s kind of like what is popularly known as a “karaage” in Japan.

I’ve had some success using shura kitata today. I’ve seen some people using it on their own recipes, but I’m not seeing any real appeal to me in the long run.
