Since 2015, I have been working with the self-awareness of those suffering from BH, which is what I have been diagnosed with. I believe that there is no set formula for BH, and it often comes down to the individual’s own self-awareness. We can all benefit from learning to recognize and manage our thoughts and behaviors.

The problem is that self-awareness is one of those things that is so elusive that you can think you are practicing BH when you really are not. The fact that I think of myself as BH when I feel depressed is a good example of this. BH is defined as “bodily pleasure,” which means that if I am depressed I probably feel good. The problem is that I may be depressed, but I am not going to feel good.

Self-awareness may not be easy to come by, but it can be learned. So if you want to get better at feeling good about yourself, try practicing BH. I know, it sounds scary and complicated, but it’s really not all that hard.

The way you practice BH is through mindfulness meditation.
